SXSW 2022

KNOCK: Building High Quality Career Relationships

Description:

The abrupt pandemic-induced shift to a virtual workforce makes deeper connection at work not only relevant, but vital for a more connected, inclusive, and healthy world. In 2014, Rebecca Leder, former Salesforce leader, blogger, and entrepreneur, received too many impersonalized emails from media outlets asking to promote their customers' products to her blog readers without much in return. Later, she worked in marketing agencies with a similar ask of influencers. Where were the meaningful brand partnerships with long-term, mutually-beneficial impact? Building high quality career connections not only helps startups launch, internal teams collaborate better online, and client relationships strengthen, it's critical to our physical and emotional health. Create impact through connection.
