SXSW EDU 2022
Ice Cream Makes Hybrid Work
Description:
Since 2017, the University of Maryland (UMD) has maintained an Open Learning platform (Canvas Catalog) that allows for non-credit, world-wide, professional development offerings. I will discuss lessons learned from implementing this learning solution that includes a course catalog, registration system, and payment gateway. A recent success was using Open Learning for credentialing participants of UMD Orientation to maintain the tradition of receiving a free ice cream from UMD’s own dairy.
