SXSW 2021
The Rise of Virtual Volunteerism
Description:
As the COVID-19 pandemic has made remote work more difficult, so too has it stymied many traditional volunteering opportunities that once took place outside the office. A growing number of organizations are encouraging employees to get involved with online programs that allow them to help their communities while still staying safe. This session will show how virtual mentoring programs positively impact the productivity and happiness of volunteers and the individuals they are serving.
