SXSW 2021
Partnering with Tech to Reimagine Healthcare
Description:
Historically, the healthcare industry has been resistant to change and slow to adopt modernized, integrated and technology-driven processes/procedures. For years it was able to get away with this and continue to do business. However, COVID-19 has served as a forcing function for advancements to be made and steps to be taken leveraging innovation.
Blue Shield of California created Health Reimagined— a disruptive innovation model, which aligns consumers (members), providers, partners, and Blue Shield (as a payer) to transform the healthcare system in three key areas: holistic health, high-tech, high-touch capabilities, and personal care. These approaches allow for personalized, mind-body, high quality, and tech-centric care solutions to push the needle forward on progressive health care.
