Description:
In the midst of a national conversation about systemic racism and the significant economic inequities people of color face, we see a data point that underscores the issue at hand. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, upwards of 41% of all Black-owned business in America have closed their doors for good.
What is happening to Black businesses during COVID? What are the unique challenges Black entrepreneurs face when it comes to starting and growing a business? What opportunities are Black entrepreneurs finding during this time? And, perhaps most importantly, what work is happening to create stronger entrepreneurial ecosystems for Black entrepreneurs?
