SXSW 2021
New Art Landscape: Gatekeeper or Ghostbuster?
Description:
Who are you going to call?
More often than not, we’re not sure who to call.
This is the direct impact of the global shutdown. Our new normal, and the impact for artists and arts professionals in the new creative landscape.
So, are you a gatekeeper or a ghostbuster?
Now more than ever, we need to be nimble, flexible and resilient; rather than hoarding information.
We need to be transparent, open and generous.
When faced with adversity and struggle, we safeguard information and resources: fight or flight.
What if, we open the conversation and initiate from a place of education? Where we share to create a more equitable art world in which we operate and in which more people can thrive.
