SXSW EDU 2021
Student Success Coaches and Education Recovery
Description:
In the wake of COVID-19 school closures, programs like City Year showed the power of young people partnering with educators to ensure a web of developmental relationships in schools to support student success. Legislative efforts in California and elsewhere may make it possible to expand this “student success coach” model to provide equitable opportunities for more students. Participants will engage in dialogue about the power of the model and the potential impact of expansion more broadly.
