SXSW EDU 2020

The Future of Learning is Biophilic

Description:

Access to nature and integration of nature into the classroom (and education workplace) can produce breakthrough outcomes for children in their mental health, behavior and academic performance. As people spend less and less time outdoors, the research is pointing to impacts from a phenomenon labeled Nature Deficiency Disorder. Experts in workplace satisfaction, outdoor education, ecotherapy and school mental health will discuss the importance of biophilic design and behavior in the classroom.
