SXSW 2020
Japan and Estonia Handle Robotization of Society
Description:
These days the implementation of robotics seems to be facing the difficulty to match with the needs to interact with the spontaneous reaction of human. Still, the expectation for robotics doesn’t disappear. We are now entering into the new paradigm—the robotization of society itself with IoT, AI., e-Services and MaaS. Digital governments are on the rise such that a whole society is an automation unit, and robotic technologies are not just for personal use. In this session Japanese Tech-Ethics practitioner, Naho Kitano, and a government officer of post-Soviet Estonia, Janek Rosov, will lead the discussions of “Who should be considered as technology provider and what is their responsibility in the future?” and “How can we visualize the same future starting from the different cultures?
