Creative City: Sparking IntraGen Audiences IRL
Description:
What does showing up IRL (in real life) mean for GenZ, coming of age by finding and fostering niche communities online and the golden era of streaming? Cities serve as platforms for music and voice, leveraging creativity and sound to connect neighbors, while elevating opportunities for new artists and sound with local, civic engagement. Our LA-focused session demonstrates the power of place and venues in a city, how we create with and for more than 90 neighborhoods, effective micro-communities bridging generations—and why unlike many of our peer cities, ours is seeing growth of venues and audiences. We’ll hear from innovators in sound research, audience development, and ticketing technology, taking a dive into local solutions and experiments, co-creating with diverse Angeleno voices.
