SXSW EDU 2020
What Makes Educational Experiences Transformative?
Description:
Some educational experiences change your life: you never see the world the same way afterward. But too often what passes for education is just information transmission, with no opportunity for learners to truly engage. In this interactive discussion, we ask: what are the ingredients of educational experiences that create a deep impact? Drawing on attendee’s experiences and findings from learning science, we share and analyze educational practices that lead learners to come away transformed.
