SXSW 2020
Mother Investors: Angel Investing for Change
Description:
In a world of chaos and gender bias, we need to create the change we want to see. In the first half of 2019, 13 women CEOs took companies public. This meaningfully impacted the percentage of women running public companies in America, and they all got their start working with angel investors. The panelists will discuss why they are investing in the next wave of women and people of color-led startups, the growing ecosystem of women supporting women, and how you can get involved. The panelists are working mothers under the age of 45 with diverse backgrounds who have chosen to diversify their portfolios and plunge into the pools of startup investing. The goal is simple - change representation in the entrepreneurial landscape and propel the next generation of women who will change the world.
