Math Therapy: From Anxiety to Creative Confidence
Description:
Math is best approached with vulnerability, optimism, and creativity. Unfortunately, math experiences are frequently linked to fear, anxiety and shame. Often students can point to a specific moment when they began to believe that they were not “math people.” In this session, we will develop strategies to (1) help students identify root causes of limiting mindsets that they may hold and (2) help students attain the confidence to interact with the brain-building benefits of math.
