I Got Your Back! Reinventing Work Team Culture

Description:

Over 80% of the work people do happens in teams. So when teams suck, work sucks! Forget bringing your best self to work; you can't. That means everyone loses. While most company culture should be rebooted, we also have to blow up how teams work because they determine how people function, or don't, every day. Fear (of judgment and failure) kills engagement, and teams can shape or shame people.

So what if teams operated like high-performing improv groups? They can. When team members have each others’ backs – a core improv principle – people exhibit higher trust, playfulness, humor, and creativity.

This interactive talk will focus on comedy concepts to hone an "I Got Your Back!" mentality. While we can't fix the a-hole next door; we can make teams way less crappy. Join me!
