SXSW 2024
The Tide is High for Responsible Ocean CO2 Removal
Description:
The ocean is the next frontier of carbon removal (CDR). In the last year alone, ocean CDR has gained nearly a quarter of a billion dollars in investment from the private sector and a first-of-its-kind government initiative. However, the ocean is also the least understood ecosystem on our planet, and while urgency is imperative, speed cannot be the only consideration.
In this panel, industry leaders will share the current state of the ocean CDR industry and explore the innovations and political developments that will set the foundation for the future of the next wave of CDR solutions.
