SXSW 2020
The DIY Musician’s Guide to Building Your Team
Description:
Traditionally, finding success as an artist or songwriter means signing to a major label or publishing deal, but today’s indie musicians are finding more and more success outside of that model. In this panel, we’ll talk to experts in various areas of the music industry – distribution, publishing creative/song plugging, publishing administration and synch licensing – to explore how partnerships with specialized, focused experts can lead to success and how do-it-yourself doesn’t have to mean do it alone.
