SXSW 2020

Transforming My Life and Others through Film

Description:

I had spent my career behind the camera making TV. When I emerged as an indie filmmaker after seeing the response to a film I made with my dog, I realized I was at home in front of the camera. I decided it was time to put my personal stories and trauma out to the world. What resulted was LOOK AT US NOW, MOTHER! about the transformation of a highly charged mother/daughter relationship from hatred to love. It’s about forgiveness. It’s my story. Released on Netflix, humbled by the audience reaction. Now speaking internationally on forgiveness including a TEDx talk NO MORE DRAMA WITH MAMA. My life mission is to help as many people as possible. We each have a story that can help others. With some courage and commitment, we can tell it via film and leave a lasting impact.
