SXSW 2019
Design Thinking, Smart Citizens, & Smarter Cities
Description:
A city is its people. We don’t build cities in order to make buildings and infrastructure. We build cities in order to come together, create wealth and culture, and make more people.
Design thinking places the citizen at the center of the smart city conversation from the start, and data from citizen engagement will shape tomorrow’s smarter cities.
This high energy, hands-on workshop will help attendees increase their contributions to smart city projects as expert speakers explore and demonstrate proven design thinking techniques, train attendees in basic design thinking process and facilitation, and offer detailed case studies from years of research and experience in community outreach and smart cities. Attendees will also be provided with an exclusive take-home resource guide.
