SXSW EDU 2019
Today’s Students Need New Policy Solutions
Description:
One would assume that the federal law, which governs higher education, reflects the needs of today’s students. However, the Higher Education Act has not been updated in over a decade & today, the national student body is older, working more, attending college part-time & not living on campus. Hear from current/former Congressional staffers who will craft new policies: will they reflect solutions that encourage innovation, address financial needs & ensure students are prepared for the workforce?
