Global HOPE to Save Children Battling Cancer

Description:

Pediatric cancer has become a devastating public health crisis in sub-Saharan Africa. Today, 90% of children diagnosed with cancer in this part of the world die. This inhumane reality is unacceptable. Led by a coalition of health, medicine and design professionals, Global HOPE establishes new treatment facilities and educates pediatric medical staff to improve survival rates. If the initiative can successfully create care centers to withstand the local climate and distinct regional challenges, Global HOPE could save countless lives moving forward. This panel discussion will educate on current conditions, illustrate Global HOPE’s promise end focus on how multi-disciplinary approaches are critical to addressing health epidemics.
