P-TECH Partners Reverse the Rural Talent Pipeline
Description:
Most rural students face a tough choice: leave home for a distant, expensive university or accept limited options available in a struggling region.
The global reach of the internet changed that.
By partnering a local high school, community college, and FEDC TechSTART, an innovation catalyst, Cañon City's P-TECH program will reverse the usual rural "brain drain" pipeline to revitalize our region with internships connecting students to remote tech jobs as well as a paid college opportunity.
