SXSW EDU 2019
Who Gets to Teach? #communityrepresention
Description:
At South Bronx Community, community representation matters to us: more than 85% of our staff are people of color and 1/3 call the Bronx home. We are redefining teacher pipelines and pathways into education by hiring talented youth development professionals, one for every teacher. Through our innovative staffing model we elevate social and emotional learning and leveraging collaboration and cross-training to ensure that every student graduates ready to lead in college, community and career.
