SXSW 2019
Trust in the Sharing Economy
Description:
Americans trust each other less than ever, yet our economy has increasingly become one of sharing everything.
We share a ride to work, our cars, our bikes, our dog walkers, our handbags, even our bedrooms. But we also know in the sharing economy sometimes trust is broken.
In our panel discussion we'll explore what happens to trust when we layer in variables such as user ethnicity, gender, country of origin, and emerging technology within the sharing economy. In addition to poking and prodding at these variables, we'll explore how we can begin to mend trust in areas where it has been broken.
