SXSW 2019
Don't Believe the Story You Tell Yourself
Description:
Don’t believe the story you tell yourself. It is based on erroneous perceptions and wrong conceptions produced by an outdated organ called ‘monkey-brain’. Tuning into the wrong story can lead to strong emotions with devastating results for your health and soul. If you want to empower yourself and get better then change the story you listen to. And the easiest way to do that is to listen to an inspiring story of somebody else.
Since 5 years I travel around the world to document cancer survivors form different countries & cultures to help other patients and families to cope better with the disease. As a neuroscientist I know that stress has many negative effects on our immune system & should be avoided at any costs. As a pancreatic cancer survivor I know that this is not always so easy.
