SXSW 2019

The Highway and the Wilderness

Description:

Our grandparents picked a career and stuck at it for 40-years. Today, with no cash or experience, you can change your career overnight and start your own TV show on Monday. The concept of ‘work’ is therefore fundamentally changing and the 21st century leaves us needing to articulate our dreams, name and manage our own careers, and relentlessly retrain and relearn. It’s an inspiring but overwhelming opportunity and requires a set of skills we’re never been taught. In this session, I’ll break down the career challenge and suggest some tools for us to tackle it.
