Licensing in today’s world is problematic. Music copyright is inherently complex and made worse by fragmentation, unknowns, inefficiencies and competing interests. Now, new technologies and current efforts to collaborate could offer a path forward to designing a licensing framework fit for the 21st century. Panelists from a cross section of the music industry will debate the path forward, assess obstacles, the potential gains and what’s required to get there.
