Message Received: Micromessages in the Classroom
Description:
Micromessaging, Stereotype Threats, and Implicit Bias are all barriers to student success throughout the P-20 pipeline. Using engaging, interactive exercises, role play, scenarios, and flash cards, this workshop will help the attendees examine their own biases and actions as well as those of others around them. Participants will also learn about strategies to deal with situations where these threats arise.
