SXSW 2019

From Service to Solutions: The Multiplying Effect

Description:

The creator of a rural solar technician network in East Africa. The founder of an organization to bring service back to public servants. The first black Massachusetts History Teacher of the Year. As the world gets more divisive, these three innovators are building ecosystems that bring people together to improve communities. The one common thread of inspiration for each goes back to their year of service with an AmeriCorps organization. This panel will explore how their service inspired a lifelong dedication to creating positive change, how they are creating that change today and how we can create systems to propel others to service.
