SXSW 2019

Circular Economy Roadmap: Apparel and Beyond

Description:

Building on the Circularity Roadmap for Apparel Brands (http://www.fwdimpact.com/circularity-roadmap/) this panel will explore circular economy opportunities in the fashion and textile industries. Highlighting brand initiatives along with industry commitments and pre-competitive research, we’ll demonstrate how this sector is shifting from a linear “take-make-waste” model with negative impacts to one that leads the development of a circular economy. The panel will include brand sustainability leaders, social enterprise innovators, and multi-stakeholder coalitions who enable the industry shift to a circular system, and will be relevant to fashion industry professionals, and all businesses and social enterprises interested in learning more about the circular economy.
