SXSW 2019
Creatives in Government
Description:
When a government agency publishes a lengthy strategic report or a plain website, the average citizen takes it at face value. However, it is the work of the government creative to ensure that public-facing content is approachable and easy to understand. Designers and creatives in the public sector are tasked to solve a unique set of problems; everything must be digestible by everyone. Change the copy to say "assist" instead of "help." Replace that green circle with a gray one. Find a public domain song without banjos for that video. This Meet Up invites government designers and creatives to network, brainstorm and collaborate on solutions to their everyday workplace challenges.
