SXSW 2019
Filmmaking Powered by AI
Description:
In 2016, End Cue released the first film written by an artificial intelligence. Since then, we have been a leader in using AI as a tool to enhance human creativity in filmmaking. The company launched a series of shorts written by human-AI collaborations. The series includes MSE2K, a parody of Mystery Science Theater 3000 in which the AI was trained on Reddit conversations; and PROGRESS BAR, a futuristic look at what it’s like to have a digital assistant whose lines are entirely generated through machine learning.
This panel will explore the union of technology and creativity that was required to produce these shorts. End Cue will be joined by RivetAI, the company behind the AI technology, as well as the director of one of the films and our physical production partner, Greencard.
