Designing Ethical Machine Intelligence for Humans

Profound tech makes big data knowable, but not without implications. As tech evolves from tool to partner, experience and data become intertwined. It’s not enough to add user interfaces to algorithms. As unstructured content evolves from machine intelligence, so does its bias. Although the design and tech community is talking about these risks, we haven’t determined an actionable way to manage it. We must challenge convention and influence machine intelligence with human knowledge.
