Identity Politics: Changing Corporate Branding

For companies today, communicating brand values is key. But with Americans divided along social, cultural and political lines, can brands express their identity without alienating half the public? As individuals “vote” their values with $$, they’re impacting corporate brands. And likewise, as corporate brands express their values to the public, inadvertently endorsing sides on divisive issues, they’re affecting consumer behavior.
