SXSW 2018

Outdoor Women of Wikipedia Editathon

Women are missing from Wikipedia. They make up roughly 9 to 16 percent of the editors who work on the site, and that gender imbalance is present in the entries on Wikipedia. By teaching people how to edit Wikipedia pages—and focusing on adding notable women in the outdoors—we can help resolve this disparity. We work in the outdoor industry and are keenly aware of specific women adventurers who are missing, though these skills translate to all industries. More info: http://bit.ly/2vsF3BQ
