What Happens When States Fund OER?
State creation of open educational resources leads to life-changing educational access. In 2016, the Texas Education Agency awarded a contract to Rice University’s OpenStax and University of Florida's Study Edge to produce standards-aligned, open-source instructional materials. The panel will discuss how this innovative model affects Texas schools, teachers, and students and how legislators and nonprofits can work together to improve upon the model.
