Design Friction: Make me think!

When designing products or services, creating a seamless UX is usually beneficial for users. But if user journeys are too smooth, it can cause issues. Users may not pay attention to the tasks they are undertaking. They could take actions they didn’t mean to!

I’ll explore how to design positive frictions that disrupt mindless and automatic interactions. They prompt moments of reflection and mindfulness that can lead to error prevention, accessible technology and a better work/life balance.
