Creativity & Coding: Inspiring Future Innovators
Much discussion about kids and coding focuses on workforce development: learn to code, get a job. This panel aims to expand the conversation, viewing coding and other science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning not just as a way to fill the jobs pipeline, but as a means to help kids think creatively and build creative confidence that will enrich all aspects of their lives. The panel will address how - by engaging children at the intersection of creativity and technology, and adding arts to make STEAM – companies and nonprofits are tapping into kids’ inherent desire to shape their world - both digital and physical - to become the next generation of creators and innovators.
