Cord cutting - is it worth it?

Cord cutting is no longer a fad, it’s a fact. 98% of the TV you want is already available on various platforms– outside the realm of your pay-TV company’s control. However, not everyone is a viable candidate. The potential reward for those ready to cut the cord is staggering. Research shows consumers can save roughly $100,000 - $350,000 over a 50-year period depending on the entertainment tradeoffs they make - money that could buy two Teslas, pay a house deposit or send a kid to college. TiVo’s Joshua Danovitz & Sling TV’s Ben Weinberger will help navigate the cord-cutting conundrum and discuss the tradeoffs between entertainment and cost.

  1. Are you a good candidate for cord cutting?
  2. Just how economic is dumping cable for streaming services?
  3. What bundles are streaming services offering to make leaving cable less painful/scary?

Joshua Danovitz, VP of Innovation, TiVo
