How States Can Create Effective Cyber Commissions
Nearly half the nation's governors are presiding over cybersecurity-focused task forces, yet experts wonder what the groups actually achieve. A StateScoop analysis of executive orders and other documents revealed that governors in 21 states presided over the meetings of similar cyber task forces in the course of the last year. But many experts wonder how effective these commissions actually are in creating more secure IT infrastructures. This panel would explore how governors and state IT leaders have set up these groups and used them to set policy.
