An innovative school – what does that really mean?
After its first forty years, Ridgefield Academy created the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning and positioned itself for its next forty years and beyond. Internally, the Center is charged with reshaping teaching and learning so that we can guarantee that we are meeting the needs of each learner in our classrooms, while externally it focuses on creating and maintaining partnerships with local organizations that provide our students a bigger stage to share their work and also shape programs. This presentation will describe the creation of our new Center and show how, by focusing on what, how, and why we teach, Ridgefield Academy is building on its tradition and ready for the future.
