Computer Science: Teaching Strategies for ELL/SWDs

As computer science education rapidly expands across the country, how might we work to ensure all students are included? Come learn alongside representatives from the NYCDOE CS4All team, Tech Kids Unlimited (TKU), and Sunset Spark, as we share, workshop, & iterate strategies and activities for engaging ELLs & students with disabilities in computer science. TKU is a not-for-profit that teaches technology to kids who learn differently & helps them become the techies of tomorrow. Sunset Spark has built their expertise teaching ELLs and their families in the Sunset Park neighborhood in NYC. These diverse leaders will bring their experiences to bear as they lead this proposed workshop.
