EdTech Certification: The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

Many companies’ educator certification programs simultaneously support strategic marketing initiatives and help educators build product knowledge, PLNs and personal brand. However, the company-educator relationship can be ethically nebulous. This panel, comprised of program managers from Edmodo and BrainPOP and teachers certified by Google, Microsoft and others, explores how certification programs balance the needs of educators and companies and unpacks why and when certification is most appropriate.
