When you want something ASAP, how often do you stop and think about how it will get to a store shelf or your doorstep? The stuff we buy travels on boats, trains, trucks, and planes to get to us, but it’s often the last mile of a delivery that is the most complicated. What’s the answer – bicycles, skateboards, drones, dedicated delivery lanes, time-shifting, gondolas? The very last leg of a delivery is even more difficult in congested cities. As online shopping and the demand for fast delivery increases, creative solutions are needed to get things to stores and doorsteps quickly.
