Making News Personal: Livestream and 24/7 News

With the explosion of live streaming platforms such as Facebook Live, Snapchat, YouNow and YouTube everyone is a newsmaker. How are mainstream and new media outlets adapting to these changing platforms and what strategies are they exploring to make the most of the flood of content and information available everyday. This panel examines how live stream video has revolutionized mainstream and new media, from content creators to news distributors, and how brands like USA TODAY and Huffington Post are pushing beyond news distribution into a more interactive, participatory and personal storytelling experience. In addition to Q/A from the audience, session will be live streamed for online Q/A.
