Screen to Table: Using Food to Generate Film Buzz

Movies have depicted food in all sorts of ways. Sometimes it’s the foundation of a story in which recipes come to life; other times it plays a supporting role adding flavor and zest to characters. In the age of social media, such marketing is typically in the form of sharable film-themed recipes, cookbooks and other culinary content. This presentation will explore how both filmmakers and film marketers are using food to activate movie fans and win big at the box office.
