Dragging Healthcare Clicking & Screaming 2B Social

Why doctors and health plans won’t text you like a normal person and how you can nudge them out of the past and into social media and digital tools
No one picks up the phone to set up a meeting any more. We use our calendars to send an invitation. It’s fast, efficient, and let’s everyone communicate on their own schedule. Or we send a text or an email, and we work it all out pretty quickly. Except when it’s a doctor you want to meet with. While some doctors have moved into the digital age with online appointment scheduling, text messages and email communication, most still require that you call the office. And then leave a message. And then hope you are available when the office calls back.
