The Latino Factor: Defining Moments of US Startups

The economic future of the U.S. depends on Latino startups. Although Latinos comprise 17% of the US population, only 8% of all startups are Latino-owned and less than 1% of venture-backed firms are founded by Latinos. This session identifies the Top 3 challenges facing Latino startups and presents 3 strategies that startups, investors, and accelerators can take to accelerate Latino startups across the USA. How can accelerators and investors cross the chasm to meet the capital and social capital (network, skills, etc.) needs of high-potential Latino startups? How can Latino entrepreneurs tap into the best startup ecosystems to transition from survival to success?
