America's Dirty Little Secret: The Skills Gap.

Since the advent of higher education, there has been a gap between employer needs and what higher education has provided. Higher institutions have done their best to anticipate and meet labor market demand, but not always successfully, as demonstrated by the fact that over 4M jobs remain unfilled in the U.S. Employers continue to complain that college graduates aren't adequately prepared for work. In response, a new generation of companies and educational institutions has arisen aiming to bridge the divide between higher education and the labor market. Bootcamps and top-up skills programs; will these new approaches unleash the productivity revolution we're all clamoring for?
