An educational and action provoking discussion between experts who helped write the rules for Texas and advocate for their adoption nationwide, Angel investors that are impacted greatly by these changes, and industry analysts who see crowdfunding’s ability to democratize wealth creation as well its potential to fall flat on its face. For years, people have talked about the disruptive nature of crowdfunding and the seemingly imminent arrival of equity crowdfunding to the masses. The SEC is sitting on unimplemented rules, leaving it to individual states to take the leap into opening up private securities offerings to anyone and everyone. Texas is the largest market to make such a move.
