From Festival to TV: What Filmmakers Need to Know
On the one hand, film festivals are one of the most effective ways to raise your profile, grow your film’s audience, and gain access to funders, producers, and distributors. On the other, making all-too-common mistakes can end up costing you money and diminishing your film’s distribution. At this panel, filmmakers Tony Vainuku and Erika Cohn will discuss their experience bringing "In Football We Trust" to the big screen, what they wish they’d done differently, and how they successfully landed a broadcast distribution deal. Lois Vossen, Exec Deputy Producer of PBS's "Independent Lens", will also be on hand to provide an insider's perspective on bringing films from festivals to television.
